Booking Policy

  • Making a Booking:

    • Please use the online service when making a booking as we do not have administration staff and it is not possible for the counsellor to take inquiries during work hours. Alternatively, you can send an email with any requests to hello@katypryde.com.au 

    • Please note that all appointments are subject to the availability of the counsellor.

  • Booking Fee​

    • When booking an appointment, a non-refundable booking fee must be paid. If you need to reschedule, kindly provide us with a 24-hour notice so that we can transfer the booking fee to a different appointment. Please note that the booking deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your appointment. 

    • Please note that if you are unable to provide us with a 24-hour notice, it will not be possible to transfer the booking fee to a new appointment. However, we do understand that unexpected situations may arise, and we are willing to work with you to find a solution that is satisfactory for everyone involved. We require valid proof of the emergency, as change of mind or lack of time management will not be considered as emergencies, and the booking fee will be forfeited in such cases.

  • Payment:

    • Please note that full payment, minus the booking fee, is required at the time of your counselling session. You can make the payment via cash or a secure credit/debit card transaction using a Square Reader. If you decide to schedule follow-up appointments after your session, I can accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards.

  • Confirmation of Booking:

    • Upon successful booking and receipt of the booking fee, a confirmation email will be sent to you at your provided email address. Please review all the details to ensure the appointment time, date, and service are accurate.

  • First-Time Clients:

    • If you are scheduling your first counseling session with me, kindly note that it is mandatory to complete a New Client Form and a Privacy Consent Form. These forms are in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. Both forms will be sent to you via email. You can either print them out, fill in the details, and sign them before bringing them with you to your appointment, or you can come 10-15 minutes earlier and fill them out in the waiting room before your session. Please note that your appointment cannot proceed without these forms filled in and signed. In the case of an Online appointment, the forms must be emailed to me at hello@katypryde.com.au, before your session.

  • Cancellations and Rescheduling:

    • Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require at least 24 hours notice. This will enable us to offer the slot to other clients. Please contact me via email or phone to make these changes. 

    • If the cancellation or rescheduling is made more than 24 hours before your appointment, the booking fee is transferred to a new appointment time. We do not offer a refund on booking fees.

    • Cancellations made less than 24 hours will forfeit their booking fee as per the Australian Consumer Law.

  • Late Arrivals:

    • We advise you to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals will lead to a shortened session duration to ensure subsequent appointments are not delayed.

    • If you are later than 15 minutes, your appointment will be cancelled, as it will affect the subsequent appointments.

  • No-Show Policy:

    • If a client fails to attend a scheduled appointment without providing sufficient notice, the full fee is payable and must be paid within two business working days.

​

  • Privacy and Confidentiality:

    • All personal information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will only be used for the provision of counselling services in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.​
